Quick Detection of Ebola Virus

According to the recent studies, a quick detection of the Ebola virus within minutes through some test may help to treat earlier and helpful for flare-up for the health worker. Researcher found a method of test to detect very quickly Ebola virus unlike the previous traditional method in which days were required for the same purpose and this method revolutionized the Ebola treatment method, the researcher said. It is an alarming situation that in the West African countries, Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone, is mainly targeted of Ebola virus and in the 2013 about 11000 people suffered due to this virus and this counting is still continued, according to experts. Patients have same type of symptoms in Ebola virus condition as in the common illness so it becomes difficult to identify the Ebola virus. For the Lab testing, blood id drawn and the useless syringes is disposed off. Blood may be exposed to the other people when it is transported towards the lab. For long time, test results will not be available. These tests are in special areas and people wait for days for test result. And there is a possibility in this system that healthy people may suffer from Ebola virus, researcher said.

So, A test were generated which named were ReEBOV Antigen Rapid Test and many of the health worker had to trained for performing of this test. In this test, just blood sample id placed on the strip and color changing show the presence of Evola virus. This test detected many of the Ebola cases but this test is 92 percent specifically, which mean that result might be false on some times. Some cases were not detected because they had very low level of virus which is only detectable through lab process which is not available commonly. Now more research is required to make more ReEBOV Antigen Rapid Test more sensitive so it will detect Ebola virus on very early stage.
